Indiana Game Notes
Fifth-year senior safety Greg Heban recorded a pair of interceptions in the first quarter, his first two of the season and the seventh and eighth of his career. Heban was the last Hoosier to pick off a pair of passes in a single game, doing so against Virginia on Sept. 10, 2011. He also finished with a game-high eight tackles.
Bennett added seven tackles, two for loss, and three pass breakups.
For the second straight week, Latimer went over 100 yards and posted a career-high eight receptions for 136 yards. He is the first Hoosier since James Hardy in 2007 to record back-to-back 100-yard games.
Latimer also had a career-long reception of 77 yards.
Sudfeld and sophomore Tre Roberson combined for 377 passing yards, marking the fourth consecutive game that Indiana has surpassed the 300-yard passing mark this season and the sixth straight game dating back to last year.
Sophomore Tevin Coleman punched in a rush from two yards out for his sixth rushing score of the season and the seventh of his career.
Indiana had two touchdown drives that took under 60 seconds, the seventh and eighth TD drives of the season under 60 seconds.
Shane Wynn finished with five receptions for 90 yards with a 68-yard touchdown. The junior became the 19th Hoosier to record 100 career catches. Wynn is also the 18th Hoosier to surpass both 100 career receptions and 1,000 career yards. He has four receiving scores this season and 10 in his career, including three 60-plus yarders.
Junior wide receiver Nick Stoner set a career-high with 58 receiving yards on three catches.
Sophomore defensive end Zack Shaw had career-bests with six tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss to lead Indiana.
The Hoosiers have four picks and three fumble recoveries on the year.
The 1993 Independence Bowl team celebrated its 20-year reunion this weekend.
Tonight marked the lone Big Ten vs. SEC meeting this regular season.
Fifth-year senior tight end Ted Bolser (second time this season), fifth-year senior safety Greg Heban (third), junior quarterback Cameron Coffman (first) and junior linebacker David Cooper (second) served as game captains.
Indiana won the coin toss for the third time this season and elected to defer for the second time.
