Fifth-year senior wide receiver Dre Muhammad set career marks with nine receptions and 73 yards.
Shane Wynn returned three kicks for 93 yards. The true freshman now owns 901 kick return yards this season, which puts him second on IU's single-season list.
Cornerback Lawrence Barnett returned to the starting lineup for the first time since the Wisconsin game in week seven. Barnett finished with a team-high nine tackles, one for a loss and two pass breakups.
Mitch Ewald put the Hoosiers on the board with a 22-yard field goal in the second quarter. IU's career field goal percentage leader is now 12-of-15 (80 percent) on the season, 28-of-34 (82.4) in his career. Ewald is 8-of-9 (88.9) in Big Ten play this season and 19-of-22 (86.4) in his career.
Fifth-year senior linebacker Leon Beckum matched Barnett's team-high nine tackles.
Sophomore cornerback Greg Heban was next on the tackles list for IU, providing eight stops on the day. He also broke up a pass.
Redshirt freshman linebacker Hoobler had his second consecutive productive game, totaling six tackles and a quarterback hurry. He now has a total of 15 tackles in the last two games after racking up nine stops at Ohio State.
Quarterback Edward Wright-Baker saw his first playing time since the Wisconsin game. The sophomore finished 5-of-9 for 50 yards.
Fifth-year senior safety Donnell Jones returned to action for the first time since the Illinois game (ankle) and finished with five tackles.
True freshman Nick Stoner returned four kicks for 77 yards. Stoner also saw his first playing time at wide receiver. The Greenwood, Ind., native moved to his new position from cornerback during the bye week.
Sophomore running back David Blackwell received the first carry of his career, gaining five yards on the rush.
Junior center Will Matte (knee) also returned to the starting lineup for the first time since the Wisconsin game.
Matte started alongside fifth-year senior left tackle Andrew McDonald, true freshman left guard Bernard Taylor, redshirt freshman right guard Collin Rahrig and fifth-year senior right tackle Justin Pagán. It is the third time the group has started together this season and the first time since the Illinois game in week five.
Indiana started seven freshmen (4 true), including four on defense (2 true) and three on offense (2 true).
Junior defensive tackle Adam Replogle (10 times), fifth-year senior middle linebacker Jeff Thomas (8), fifth-year senior tight end Max Dedmond (3) and senior offensive lineman Justin Pagán (2) served as Indiana's game captains.
