BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana wide receiver Tandon Doss announced Monday that he will forego his senior season and enter the 2011 NFL Draft. Doss earned first team All-Big Ten recognition for the second straight season in 2010.

"While my experience at Indiana was great, my decision came down to the fact that I could not pass up the opportunity to start my professional career," Doss said. "Entering the NFL Draft was the best decision for myself, and most importantly, my family. My experience at IU was great and helped lay the foundation for my future. I can assure you that I will work hard and represent Indiana University in a first-class manner.

"I would like to thank Coach Lynch, Coach Billy Lynch, all my coaches, the training staff and the support staff," Doss said. "I also wish Coach Wilson and his staff the best of luck. I know they will do a great job. Lastly, I want to thank all the Indiana fans for their support. I hope all of you will continue to follow me as I move on to the NFL."

During the 2010 regular season, Doss led the Big Ten and finished fourth nationally with 175.8 all-purpose yards per game. He closed out the year with 63 receptions, 706 receiving yards, seven touchdowns, 1,016 kick return yards, 163 rushing yards and 49 punt return yards.

The Indianapolis native's 1,641 all-purpose yards rank seventh on IU's single-season list. Doss also ranks sixth in single-season receptions and he became the sixth player in Big Ten history with 1,000 or more kick return yards in a single season, finishing the year with the fourth-best total in Big Ten history and the top total in Hoosier lore.

Additionally, he closed 2010 second in the Big Ten in receptions per game (5.73), fifth in receiving scores, sixth in kick return average (24.8) and eighth in yards per game (64.2). Doss ranks in the top 10 on Indiana's career list in receptions (fourth; 154), kick return yards (fourth; 1,549), receiving yards (seventh; 1,854) and all-purpose yards (seventh; 3,786).

In 2009, Doss led the Hoosiers in receptions in nine games and receiving yards eight times. He paced the team with 962 yards, 77 receptions, five touchdowns and 80.2 yards per game. Doss finished second in the Big Ten and 27th nationally in yards per game and third in the league and tied for 21st nationally in catches per game (6.64).

His 962 yards were 14th in the country and the second most for an underclassman. Doss closed out the year just two catches shy of James Hardy's school record (79) and third on the IU single-season chart, and he finished fifth in the school's single-season yardage rankings.

Along with his three 100-yard receiving games, Doss owned 533 kick return yards, 127 rushing yards, 44 punt return yards and led the conference with 138.8 all-purpose yards per contest. He finished 10th on IU's single-season list with 1,666 all-purpose yards, surpassed 100 all-purpose yards in seven of the last nine games and eight times, including a season-best 242 against Purdue.
