BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana junior wide receiver Cody Latimer announced he will forego his final season of eligibility and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.

"We thank Cody for his contributions to Indiana Football and wish him nothing but the best in the National Football League," head coach Kevin Wilson said. "Cody became a talented all-around player and it is a credit to his hard work and determination. He has great character, is an outstanding leader and developed into a quality man on the field and in the classroom. Cody has a lot of upside and we look forward to watching him on Sundays. He had a great career at IU and will always be a Hoosier.

"Our program's goal is to produce winning teams with talented players we develop to the max. The NFL is where premier players play. We will continue to recruit and develop great players and continue to carry on our great tradition of outstanding wide receivers."

Latimer, the team's most valuable player, became the fifth Hoosier to surpass 1,000 yards in a season and his total of 1,096 ranks third all-time at IU. His 72 receptions are fourth and his nine scores are ninth.

On the Hoosiers career lists, Latimer's 135 catches and 2,152 yards are seventh, and his 17 touchdowns are tied for fifth. The Dayton, Ohio, native recorded five 100-yard games in 2013, which is tied for third in a single season, and owns seven in his career, which is tied for fourth.

A two-time second team All-Big Ten selection, Latimer finished third in the conference in yards, fourth in receptions and tied for fourth in TDs.
