Three Former Hoosiers Open Playoffs

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Three former Hoosier football players begin their road to Super Bowl XLIV this weekend. Cornerback Tracy Porter (2004-07) and kick returner Courtney Roby (2001-04) of the New Orleans Saints and guard Kris Dielman (1999-02) of the San Diego Chargers open their postseasons with divisional round playoff games.
New Orleans, the top seed in the NFC, kicks off the weekend vs. Arizona at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Saints closed out the regular season with a 13-3 mark and the NFC South championship.
In his second season with the Saints, Porter started 11 times. He picked off four passes, including a 54-yard touchdown return, and recorded 57 tackles in addition to two forced fumbles.
Roby has averaged 27.5 yards on 42 kick returns. He brought back his first career NFL touchdown for 97 yards in the team's victory over St. Louis on Nov. 15.
Dielman and the Chargers are the No. 2 seed in the AFC and host the New York Jets at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday. San Diego clinched its fourth straight AFC West title and Dielman collected his third consecutive Pro Bowl selection this year.
