BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Hoosier Antwaan Randle El (1998-01) is headed to Super Bowl XLV following the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-19 victory over the New York Jets in Sunday's AFC Championship. Super Bowl XLV is on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. ET and will be televised on FOX.

Randle El is making his second Super Bowl appearance with the Steelers. In 2006, Randle El threw a 43-yard strike to Super Bowl XL MVP Hines Ward, as the Steelers earned a 21-10 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

He is the only wide receiver to throw a TD pass in Super Bowl history. Randle El finished the game with three receptions for 22 yards as well as 32 yards on two punt returns.

In 2010, Randle El has 22 receptions for 253 yards and 14 punt returns for 56 yards. He also has a pair of completions, both resulting in scores.

Randle El closed his Hoosier career in 2001 by finishing sixth in the Heisman Trophy balloting, winning The Chicago Tribune's Silver Football award as the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player, and the Big Ten's Offensive Player of the Year as selected by Big Ten media and coaches. In 44 career games, he passed for 7,469 yards and 42 touchdowns and rushed for 3,895 yards and 44 scores.

Last season, former Hoosiers Tracy Porter (2004-07) and Courtney Roby (2001-04) celebrated the Super Bowl XLIV title with the New Orleans Saints.
