Workers from F.A. Wilhelm Construction have focused their efforts on the interior during the winter months. In August, IU Football will begin the 2009 season from inside the new facility.

This new 100,000-square-foot facility will transform Memorial Stadium into a horseshoe layout connecting the East and West stands, complete with a new seating bowl and outdoor club area. The North End Zone Facility will also become the new headquarters of Indiana Football, featuring new staff offices, position meeting rooms and a team auditorium.

In addition to enhanced space for IU Football, the new North End Zone Facility will also include:

A 24,000-sqare-foot strength and conditioning center that will provide student athletes in every varsity sport with access to essential weight training and cardio equipment

The Hall of Champions, a premier entertainment space for special events that will feature and celebrate great achievements in the history of IU Athletics.

Increased space for athletic administration offices-
Vacated space in from underneath the East side of Memorial Stadium will also be repurposed into a new 18,000-square-foot Academic Resource Center. This new center will replace the modest 2,500 square-foot-space in Assembly Hall and will feature more computers, classrooms, study areas, and tutoring rooms for use by all IU student athletes.
