BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Approximately 80 Indiana student-athletes and coaches participated in this year's Read Across America on March 2, which is also the birthday of Dr. Seuss.

Several student-athletes and coaches visited local schools and read Dr. Seuss books to several students. This year's school included Edgewood Elementary, Clear Creek Elementary, Jackson Creek Middle School and Binford Elementary.

The National Education Association (NEA) is building a nation of readers through its signature program, NEA's Read Across America. Now in its thirteenth year, this year-round program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources.
