Coach Frey, Matte Talk Offensive Line
April 4, 2011
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Greg Frey is in his first season as Indiana's offensive line coach. Frey and junior center Will Matte talked to IUHoosiers.com's Jeremy Gray about the offensive line's progression this spring.
From 2008-10, Frey coached the offensive line at the University of Michigan. The Wolverines racked up a school-record and Big Ten-leading 6,353 offensive yards (488.7 per game) in 2010.
Frey has coached nine all-conference honorees across the offensive line, including 2010 first team All-Big Ten center David Molk. Molk was also a finalist for the Rimington Trophy, presented to the nation's outstanding center.
Matte has started every game of his career at center (24 games). He is the Hoosiers only offensive lineman to start every game in both 2009 and 2010.
The Cream vs. Crimson Spring Game will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, at Memorial Stadium. Admission is free and the gates will open at 8:30 a.m. for the return of Pigskin & Pancakes. The game will be streamed live on www.BigTenNetwork.com and will be televised on delay at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 17.
