    Second Scrimmage Set for 10 AM Saturday

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head coach Bill Lynch and the Indiana football team will scrimmage for the second time this spring at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The scrimmage is open to the public and will begin at 10 a.m.

    Ben Chappell finished the first scrimmage 15-of-23 for 231 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also scored on an 8-yard run and threw a 17-yard TD to Matt Ernest during red zone drills.

    Kellen Lewis added four catches for 51 yards, while Ernest led the team with 92 yards on five catches. Tandon Doss added six grabs for 79 yards with Mitchell Evans (47 yards) and Damarlo Belcher (35 yards) contributing three catches apiece.

    Four Hoosier running backs carried the ball 31 times for 200 yards, good for a 6.5 average. Trea Burgess, who moved back to running back after opening the spring at linebacker, paced IU with 13 carries for 65 yards (5.0 average). Bryan Payton added 58 yards on six rushes (9.7) followed by fifth-year senior Demetrius McCray (7 carries, 37 yards) and sophomore Shawn Major-Winston (5 rushes, 40 yards).

    Saturday marks Indiana's 11th practice out of 15 this spring. The Hoosiers will conclude the spring at 2 p.m. on April 18.
