    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Doug Mallory has returned to Bloomington and is in his first season as assistant head coach, co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach for Kevin Wilson. Mallory spoke with IUHoosiers.com's Jeremy Gray following Thursday's practice.

    Mallory has coached in seven bowl games, including victories in the 2007 Sugar Bowl and the 2008 BCS National Championship Game. He owns 23 years of collegiate coaching experience with stops at Army, Western Kentucky, Indiana, Maryland, Oklahoma State, LSU and New Mexico.

    His father, Bill, is the winningest coach in Indiana football history. From 1984-96, Mallory led the Hoosiers to six of the program's nine bowl appearances. His brothers, Curt and Mike, are both football coaches - Curt serves as the secondary coach at the University of Michigan, while Mike is the special teams coach for the New Orleans Saints.

    The Cream vs. Crimson Spring Game will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, at Memorial Stadium. Admission is free and the gates will open at 8:30 a.m. for the return of Pigskin & Pancakes.

    The game will be streamed live on www.BigTenNetwork.com and will be televised on delay at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 17. Don Fischer (play-by-play) and Buck Suhr (analyst) will call the action.
