Lynch Reaches Out to the Students

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Bill Lynch concluded his spring outreach to student leaders and Greek houses with stops at Zeta Beta Tau fraternity and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority on Thursday evening. The Hoosier head football coach visited 19 Greek houses overall from April 13-30.
"No one mobilizes the students better than the Greek system," Lynch said. "We wanted to thank them for their support and let them know what we have planned for the upcoming season. It was a great opportunity meeting members of the various chapters."
Lynch visited Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Alpha Tau Omega, Beta Theta Pi, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Delta Tau Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Phi Delta Theta, Phi Gamma Delta, Phi Mu, Phi Sigma Kappa, Sigma Pi, Zeta Beta Tau and Zeta Tau Alpha.
In addition to the Greek houses, Lynch met with the IU Student Foundation (IUSF) and IU Dance Marathon organizations. He also welcomed leaders from the Student Athletic Board, the IU Student Alumni Association, the Residence Halls Association, the Inter-Fraternity Council and the Pan-Hellenic Council to guest coach at the Cream & Crimson Spring Game and to a dinner following a spring practice.
Indiana opens its 2009 season with the first Thursday night game in Memorial Stadium history against Eastern Kentucky on Sept. 3. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
