Bloomington Boys & Girls Club Enjoy Memorial Stadium Visit
June 20, 2012
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Over 100 members of the Bloomington Boys & Girls Club visited the Indiana football team at Memorial Stadium Wednesday afternoon. The Hoosiers program welcomed the Boys & Girls Club for the fourth straight season.
Each Boys and Girls Club member paired up with an IU player upon arrival and divided into groups. Eight activity stations were set up around the stadium with two Hoosiers manning each event.
For the next hour, the kids and players took part in the tug of war, a football hand-off relay, a tackling station, a uniform relay, an end zone celebration station, a home run derby, a sponge relay and a kicking station.
After getting a chance to participate in each activity, the kids and players had a water balloon fight. The Hoosiers signed autographs, took pictures and passed out ice cream to close out the afternoon.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington are dedicated to creating opportunity for ALL children within this community. The Lincoln Street, Crestmont and Ellettsville Clubs serve Bloomington's youth and provide safe, well supervised and comprehensive programming that is accessible to all.
