    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana cornerback Tim Bennett led the nation with 20 pass breakups and 21 passes defended last year. He was named Indiana's Defensive Player of the Year following the campaign.

    The senior moved from safety to cornerback during the 2013 offseason. Bennett started all 12 games and paced the team with 61 solo tackles.

    En route to honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition, the Columbus, Ga., native finished fourth on the Hoosiers with 73 total stops. He added 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery.

    Bennett shared the top spot among Big Ten defensive backs with his 61 solos. He recorded seven games with seven-or-more tackles and posted a career-best 12 against Navy.
