    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Football camp officially began on Saturday, as the 2008 Hoosier freshmen checked in at the Radisson Hotel Bloomington prior to the first day of practice on Monday. Returning players will check in to the Radisson on Sunday.

    Fall practices begin on Monday at 5 p.m. The acclimation period will last through Friday. On Saturday, the Hoosiers will have their first two-a-day practice leading up to the season opener on August 30 against Western Kentucky.

    "This is one of my favorite weekends of the year," head coach Bill Lynch said. "We are excited to get all the guys back in town and are even more excited to get them on the football field on Monday."

    The Hoosiers will kick things off at The Rock on August 30 with Western Kentucky. In addition to single-game tickets for the '08 campaign, season tickets are still on sale for $249 to the general public. Youth season tickets cost $120 for the eight-game package.

    To purchase tickets, visit the IU Athletics Ticket Office in Assembly Hall or call 866-IUSPORTS (487-7678). The ticket office is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
