BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the third straight season, the Indiana football team welcomed the Bloomington Boys & Girls Club to Memorial Stadium on Thursday afternoon. The team greeted the youngsters for an afternoon they will not soon forget.

As the kids walked in, they were paired up with an IU football player and divided into groups led by their favorite Hoosiers. Eight activity stations were set up around the stadium, as youngsters and players alike took part in the tug of war, a football hand-off relay, a tackling station, a football equipment relay, an end zone celebration station, a home run derby, a sponge relay and a kicking station.

After the event, Coach Wilson and the Hoosiers signed autographs, took photos and passed out ice cream.

Preseason camp begins on Monday with the first practice of 2011. Monday's practice is the beginning of the NCAA-mandated five-day acclimation period.

Indiana's 2011 schedule kicks off with a contest against in-state foe Ball State on Sept. 3 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Hoosiers then host Virginia on Sept. 10 and South Carolina State on Sept. 17.

Home conference games include Penn State on Oct. 1, Illinois on Oct. 8, Northwestern on Oct. 29, and the Old Oaken Bucket game vs. Purdue on Nov. 26.
