BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana football team opened its fall camp on Friday, Aug. 7, with its first practice of the 2009 preseason. Indiana has four weeks of practice prior to its season-opening matchup against Eastern Kentucky on Thursday, Sept. 3.

IUHoosiers.com was on hand to provide you with a photo gallery from Friday's practice. All-Access' Jeremy Gray also talked to seniors Troy Wagner and Greg Middleton about the first 2009 practice in a video segment.

Friday marked the first of five NCAA-mandated acclimation practices for 2009. After two practices in just helmets and shorts, the Hoosiers will have two days of practice in shoulder pads as well. After one practice in shells on Tuesday, Aug. 11, Indiana opens practice in full pads on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Indiana kicks off the 2009 campaign with its first-ever meeting against Eastern Kentucky at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3. It marks the first Thursday game in Memorial Stadium's history and the first of six home games.
