Aug. 10, 2012
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Football continued preseason camp with a morning practice on Friday. Here is a PHOTO GALLERY of today's action.
Deland McCullough is in his second season as Indiana's running backs coach. IU rushed for 1,374 yards in league play, the program's highest total since 2001. Indiana's running backs lost just one fumble in 272 attempts. The Hoosiers posted five overall games with 200-plus rushing yards, including a 319-yard effort against Northwestern, the most for Indiana in a conference game since 2003.
One of McCullough's pupils, D'Angelo Roberts, joined him in speaking with Jeremy Gray after practice (see below). Roberts, a sophomore running back out of Bloomington High School North, rushed for 263 yards on 61 attempts (4.3 average) last season. He was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Sept. 19 after collecting 102 second-half yards against South Carolina State.
