Indiana Coaches' Shows to Air on Thursday Evenings on the Big Ten Network
Aug. 28, 2009
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is announcing the creation of two new television programs that will be nationally televised on the Big Ten Network. Due to a scheduling conflict with the Thursday night game against Eastern Kentucky, "The Bill Lynch Show" will debut next Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 5 p.m. ET on the network, but will be regularly scheduled to air on Thursday evenings at 5 p.m.
After the conclusion of the football regular season, "The Tom Crean Show" will be broadcast on the same Thursday evening timeslot on the Big Ten Network. Jeremy Gray, Director of Broadcast Services for IU Athletics, will serve as host for the 30-minute programs.
"I'm looking forward to showcasing IU Football to Hoosier Nation," Lynch said. "The Big Ten Network is such an asset for our football program and this is another prime example of that."
"The Tom Crean Show" will begin airing in December and elements of the show are still being finalized.
"I think this will give fans access to our program they won't be able to get anywhere else," Crean said. "They will have the opportunity to see the process step-by-step as we look to add to the great tradition that is present here at IU.
Indiana University Vice President and Director of Athletics Fred Glass is excited about the new venture.
"We are thrilled to be able to use 30 minutes of national television time every week to connect our football and basketball programs with our fans and alumni across the country".
