BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - With Indiana Football opening its 2008 campaign on Saturday at noon against Western Kentucky, fans will see several changes on game day. Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff on Saturday, as they will for every game throughout the season.
Ticket booths at Memorial Stadium open at 9 a.m. on game day and are located outside both the east and west concourses. Single-game tickets cost $39 ($25 for youth tickets) or fans can still take advantage of the Touchdown Ticket Offer, as IU faithful may buy two season tickets for all eight home games for $249. Only a limited number of tickets are available for this special offer. Fans can also contact the IU Athletics Ticket Office at 866-IUSPORTS or visit the main ticket office in Assembly Hall.
Once again, "The Walk" will take place two hours and 15 minutes prior to each game. This year, the team buses will begin their approach to the stadium by exiting route 37 onto the 45/46 bypass. The buses will then pass the north side of the athletics complex and turn south on Fee Lane. Next the team will turn right onto 13th Street and then turn right on Woodlawn before parking just south of 17th Street.
A drum line from the Marching Hundred and cheerleaders will then lead the Hoosiers across 17th Street and to the west entrance of Assembly Hall. The players will then enter the east side of Memorial Stadium as the Hundred plays them into the stadium from the steps of Assembly Hall.
Gates 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 13 are all prepaid reserved parking lots. Fans can pay for parking on game day in lots 2, 10, 11, 12 and 14 and off of 13th Street. Parking purchased on game day is $15 for automobiles and $50 for RVs.
Hoosier chairbacks can be rented on a season or single-game basis throughout 2008. Chairbacks cost $48 for a full-season rental or can be rented for a single game for just $8.
The Kids' Zone will open immediately following "The Walk" on the west side of Assembly Hall. The Kids' Zone features interactive games, inflatables and pre-game music. Admission is free with a ticket to the game. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
