Knothole Seats are Back; Youth Football Day Announced
Bloomington, Ind. - Indiana University Department of Athletics is announcing the return of the Knothole Section at IU football games and a Youth Football Day on September 15.
Special pricing will be available for tickets in the North and South end zones, traditionally known as the Knothole at Memorial Stadium. These knothole seats will be $5 for youth (8th grade and below) and $10 for adults (9th grade and above). Tickets can be purchased by contacting the IU ticket office at 1-866-IUSPORTS.
"The Knothole Section makes a visit to Memorial Stadium on a Saturday afternoon a terrific option for families and kids," IU Director of Marketing David Lovell said.
The Hoosier open their home season on September 15 at 4 p.m. against Kentucky.
The home opener will feature Youth Football Day. Players and cheerleaders from youth football leagues all over the state of Indiana will be admitted free and are encouraged to wear their game jerseys. In addition, up to four complimentary coach/chaperone tickets will be provided per team. Youth Football Day tickets must be ordered through the IU sports marketing department and order forms and further information can be received by contacting 812-855-9517.
"We feel that Youth Football Day is an excellent way to give back to the communities that so faithfully support us. The activities that surround an IU football game, along with the competition on the field, will make this a memorable event for these youth football players," Lovell said.
