Indiana-Illinois Kickoff Set for Noon on Big Ten Network

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana's football game against Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 22, will kick off at noon EDT at Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network. The game can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network (Don Fischer, Pete Compise and Joe Smith).
Game times are predicated on the Big Ten Conference television agreement with ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Plus and are often not announced until 12 days before kickoff.
The Hoosiers will play host to Akron on Saturday, Sept. 15, at noon. That game will also be televised by the Big Ten Network. The Hoosiers are 2-0 following a 37-27 win over Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Mich., on Saturday. Akron fell to 1-1 after being defeated by Ohio State 20-2 this weekend.
Kellen Lewis connected with James Hardy for two touchdowns and found Josiah Sears for a third score to lead the Hoosier offense. Lewis finished the game with 221 yards passing and three touchdowns while accounting for 59 yards on the ground as well. The combination of Marcus Thigpen and Demetrius McCray accounted for 156 yards rushing, while Western Michigan had just 30 yards on the ground for the game.
Wide receiver James Hardy only had three receptions in the game, but two of them went for touchdowns. Hardy now has six receptions on the season and four have been for touchdowns.
