IU-Michigan Game to Air on ESPN or ESPN2
Sept. 14, 2009
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana's Sept. 26 game at Michigan will kick off at noon EDT at Michigan Stadium and will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2, it was announced today. The final designation of which network the game will air on will be made following this weekend's contests. All games can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network (Don Fischer, Pete Compise and Joe Smith).
Game times are predicated on the Big Ten Conference television agreement with ABC, the Big Ten Network, ESPN and ESPN2 and are often not announced until 12 days before kickoff.
Starting 2-0 for the sixth straight season, the Hoosiers hit the road for the first time in 2009 with a visit to Akron this weekend. IU will be the second team to travel to brand new InfoCision Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
IU moved to 2-0 following a 23-19 victory over Western Michigan on Sept. 12. Senior Demetrius McCray ran for a career-high 134 yards with a 59-yard score and senior defensive end Greg Middleton forced a WMU fumble at the IU 8-yard-line with 1:20 remaining to preserve the victory. Bill Lynch became the first Indiana head coach to open his career with three consecutive 2-0 starts.
