    Bloomington, Ind.- Indiana University Athletics has announced an essay-writing contest for all elementary school students. Students will get the chance to show what Indiana University football means to them.

    The contest is divided into three divisions. Grades 1 and 2 are in Division I, Division II is Grades 3 and 4, and Grades 5 and 6 are in Division III. Each division will have prizes for first and second place essays. First place essays in each division will receive four free tickets to the Illinois game on Nov. 8, a visit from an Indiana football player to your class, a t-shirt and an autographed poster from coach DiNardo. The second place essay for each division will receive a t-shirt and an autographed poster from coach DiNardo.

    There are three different questions that can be answered for any of the three divisions. They are as follows:

    1) The IU Football team uses teamwork on a daily basis. Explain how you utilize teamwork?

    2) If you were a Hoosier football player, what position would you play and why?

    3) What is you favorite part of an IU Football game?

    The essay should not exceed 500 words. Included with each essay should be your first and last name, name of your school, name of your teacher, your grade and a phone number at which you can be reached. Entries can be mailed to:
