BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Head Football Coach Bill Lynch announced that fifth-year senior wide receiver Terrance Turner and sophomore center Will Matte will serve as game captains for Saturday's game against Akron. They will join season captains Ben Chappell and Tyler Replogle for the 7 p.m. kickoff vs. the Zips at Memorial Stadium.

Chappell and Replogle were elected season captains by their teammates during the preseason, and the team's Leadership Council will vote on two other game captains each week to join them. Turner was a game captain in the season opener against Towson and three times last season, while this will be the first time Matte serves as a captain.

Saturday's game will be televised in prime time on the Big Ten Network. Craig Coshun will handle play-by-play duties and he will be joined by analyst Rosevelt Colvin and sideline reporter Larra Overton. The game can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network with Don Fischer (play-by-play), Buck Suhr (analyst) and Joe Smith (pre-game, halftime and post-game) on the call.

IU comes into Saturday 2-0 following a 38-21 victory at Western Kentucky. Chappell finished the game 32-of-42 for a career-high 366 yards, the sixth-most passing yards in school history in a contest, with three passing scores and one rushing touchdown en route to earning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors. Junior Damarlo Belcher finished with 10 catches for 135 yards, career highs in both categories and his first 100-yard game, to go along with one TD.

Replogle finished with a game high in tackles for the second consecutive game. The senior linebacker made nine stops, six solo, and added 1.5 tackles for loss. Senior strong safety Mitchell Evans had seven stops, one half-TFL and one pass breakup.
