Biletnikoff, Hornung Awards Recognize Doss

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Following his spectacular performance against Michigan, junior wide receiver Tandon Doss received recognition from the Biletnikoff (nation's top receiver) and Paul Hornung (nation's most versatile player) Awards this week. The Biletnikoff honored his effort as one of the top performances of the season and the Hornung recognized it as one of "Paul Hornung's Most Versatile Performances of the Week."
Doss, who is on both of the awards' Watch Lists, was joined on the Hornung list by Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson and Kentucky receiver Randall Cobb.
The 6-3, 200-pounder out of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis posted one of the top games in IU history against the Wolverines. He eclipsed 100 yards for the fifth time in his career and finished with career highs of 221 yards (tied for most nationally in 2010) and 15 catches (second most nationally). Doss also set a career high with 363 all-purpose yards, adding 21 rushing yards, 111 on kickoff returns and 10 on punt returns while taking two snaps out of the Wildcat formation.
On the season, Doss ranks ranks second in the nation in all-purpose yards (211.0), eighth in receiving yards (107.7), 12th in receptions (7.67) and tied for 12th in kickoff returns (31.2). He owns 23 catches for 323 yards (203 yards after catch, 62.8 percent), one touchdown and 14.0 yards per catch. Doss has three career games with 200-plus all-purpose yards and seven with 150-plus all-purpose yards. He has surpassed 100 APY 10 times in his last 12 games and 12 times overall in his career.
Doss and the Hoosiers travel to Columbus, Ohio, this weekend for a matchup with No. 2 Ohio State. Game time is set for noon EDT and the game will be televised on ESPN and ESPN 3D.
