BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana linebacker David Cooper and wide receiver Kofi Hughes talked to IUHoosiers.com about the team's Big Ten opening win over Penn State and its first road game of the season against Michigan State. Saturday's kickoff is set for noon EDT and ESPN2 will broadcast the game.
Beth Mowins (play-by-play), Joey Galloway (analyst) and Paul Carcaterra (sideline) will call the game. It can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network, Sirius 113 and XM 193 with Don Fischer (play-by-play), Buck Suhr (analyst) and Joe Smith (pre-game, halftime and post-game) on the broadcast.
Cooper reached eight tackles for the fourth time in five games with eight in the win over Penn State. He has started at strong-side linebacker all five games and leads the team with 41 tackles, which shares fifth in the Big Ten, to go along with a half-sack and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Hughes became the 19th Hoosier to reach the 100 reception and 1,000 yard marks against the Nittany Lions and is 17th all-time with 103 catches and 14th with 1,512 yards. The Indianapolis native had four grabs for 85 yards and a diving 36-yard touchdown, the sixth 30-plus yard TD of his career, in the victory.
