Bloomington, Ind.- The Indiana Hoosiers will host defending national champion and No. 8 Ohio State on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. before a sellout crowd and nationally televisied audience. The Indiana athletic department has pre game and halftime festivities planned.
Prior to the game, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Paradox, led by former Indiana women's swimming All-American Jenn Christy, will provide musical entertainment on the west side of the stadium. A four-piece roving band will also make its way through the crowd providing entertainment from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Kids can enter the "Kids Zone" on the south side of Memorial Stadium starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Kids Zone features interactive games, face painting, and pre-game music. Admission is free with a ticket to the game.
The Indiana Marching Hundred will entertain the crowd during both pre game and at halftime. The Marching Hundred's halftime show will feature the "Music of Paul McCartney." Songs included in the show will be "Live and Let Die," "Help," "Got to Get You into My Life" and "Jet."
Also at halftime, the IU Athletic Department will honor Ira Kharun with her national championship ring. At last year's NCAA Track and Field Championships, Kharun threw an American college record 202-10 on her final throw to clinch the women's national javelin title. It marked just the second time in Indiana women's outdoor history that a Hoosier has won an individual title and the first since Katrin Koch's 1992 shot put crown
The game will be televised nationally on ESPN with Mark Jones (p-b-p), Bob Davie (analysis) and Holly Rowe (sidelines) on the call. The matchup can also be heard on the IU Radio Network with Don Fischer (p-b-p), Dan Thompson (analysis) and Joe Smith (pre game, halftime, post game).
