Hoosiers Announce Iowa Game Captains

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head football coach Bill Lynch announced linebacker Matt Mayberry, safety Austin Thomas, defensive end Jammie Kirlew and left tackle Rodger Saffold will serve as game captains when the Hoosiers travel to Iowa on Saturday.
Mayberry and Thomas are captains for the second straight week and the fourth and third time this year, respectively. Kirlew earned his fourth honor and Saffold his third accolade in 2009.
Lynch will announce captains prior to each game. The team will select this year's permanent captains upon the conclusion of the season.
Concluding its brief two-game road trip, Indiana meets No. 7/8/4 Iowa (8-0, 4-0 Big Ten) at Kinnick Stadium (70,585). Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CDT/noon EDT and the game will be televised on ESPN.
Mark Jones and Bob Davie will have the call of Saturday's ESPN broadcast. Fans can also listen to the IU broadcast team of Don Fischer, Pete Compise and Joe Smith on IU Radio Network and the game will also be carried live on Westwood One, with John Tautges and Terry Donahue on the call. Additionally, the game is available on satellite radio on Sirius 125 and XM 196.
