Facing its final non-conference foe this season, the Indiana football team hosts Central Michigan at Memorial Stadium (49,225). Kickoff is set for noon EDT on Saturday, Nov. 1, and the game will be televised by the Big Ten Network with Mark Neely (play-by-play), Chris Martin (analyst), Glen Mason (analyst) and Anthony Herron (sideline) on the call. The game can also be heard on the statewide IU Radio Network with Don Fischer (play-by-play), Pete Compise (analyst) and Joe Smith (pre-game, halftime and post-game) on the call.
The Hoosiers are coming off their first Big Ten victory of the season after dropping Northwestern, the 22nd-ranked team in the BCS, 21-19. Sophomore Ben Chappell earned his first victory as a starting quarterback, as the Hoosiers won for the fourth time in their last five Homecomings. He threw for 219 yards on 21-of-34 with one passing and one rushing TD. True freshman Tandon Doss posted his first 100-yard game with 107 yards on a career-high eight receptions with one score.
Indiana forced five NU turnovers while not committing a single miscue. Junior strong safety Austin Thomas helped keep the Wildcats offense in check with 10 tackles and a career-high two interceptions, while junior defensive end Jammie Kirlew collected nine tackles, all solo, with one sack, three tackles for loss and one forced fumble.
