Trio Earns ESPN Academic All-District V First Team Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana quarterback Ben Chappell, linebacker Tyler Replogle and defensive lineman Adam Replogle have been named to the ESPN Academic All-District V first team, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Chappell garnered his second straight first team honor. Currently working toward his MBA in business systems and accounting, Chappell earned his bachelor's degree in accounting on June 30, 2010. He is in IU's top four in career completion percentage (1st), passing yardage (3rd), completions (2nd), attempts (4th), passing touchdowns (3rd), total offense (4th), 300-yard games (1st), 250-yard games (1st) and 200-yard games (3rd).
Tyler Replogle is a senior majoring in accounting and finance. He is seventh in the Big Ten averaging 8.0 tackles per game to go along with 28 solos, three TFLs, one INT, two quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery.
Adam Replogle is a sophomore majoring in criminal justice. He has started all eight games this season, and he leads the IU defensive tackles with 22 stops, 1.5 sacks, three tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries.
This is the second straight year three Hoosiers have collected Academic All-District V first team honors. To be eligible for the award, a player must be in at least his second year of athletic eligibility, be a first team or key performer and carry a cumulative 3.30 grade point average. The trio will now be placed on the ballot for ESPN Academic All-America consideration.
