As the NFL season enters its final three weeks, several Hoosiers and their teams are still battling for playoff spots.

Defensive end Adewale Ogunleye and the Chicago Bears are 7-6 on the season and sit one game behind the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North. Ogunleye has 46 tackles, 35 solo, with five sacks and three passes defended this year. The Bears host New Orleans in Chicago on Thursday evening.

A pair of Hoosiers sits on the Saints' roster, including Courtney Roby and Tracy Porter. Roby joined the team on Oct. 19 after opening the season with the Indianapolis Colts. The Indianapolis native has returned 19 kicks for 472 yards (24.8 average) with a long of 62 yards for the Saints.

Porter, who was drafted in the second round with the 40th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, dislocated his right wrist in week five and had season-ending surgery. The rookie cornerback recorded 25 tackles, 23 solo, with one interception, one sack and five passes defended. The Saints are 7-6 and fighting for a wild card slot in the NFC.

Wide receiver Antwaan Randle El and the Washington Redskins also sit at 7-6 and are fighting for a wild card berth in the NFC East. Randle El has 48 receptions for 557 yards and three touchdowns. He also has three completions in four pass attempts with one TD and one rush for five yards. The Redskins travel to Cincinnati to face the Bengals on Sunday afternoon. Defensive end Ben Ishola resides on the Cincinnati roster.

In the AFC, wide receiver James Hardy, quarterback Gibran Hamdan and the 6-7 Buffalo Bills are still alive in the AFC East. The Bills head to New York to face the Jets on Sunday.

Hardy, who was taken one slot behind Porter in the draft, has nine catches for 87 yards and two scores this year. Hamdan has not seen any playing time.

Tight end Aaron Halterman is on the Miami Dolphins' roster and defensive back Herana-Daze Jones is a member of the Denver Broncos. The Dolphins share the top spot in the AFC East with the Jets and New England and host San Francisco on Sunday. Jones and the Broncos can clinch the AFC West with a victory at Carolina on Sunday or a San Diego loss at Kansas City.

Thirteen Hoosiers are currently on NFL rosters, including Victor Adeyanju (St. Louis), Kris Dielman (San Diego), Trent Green (St. Louis), Halterman, Hamdan, Hardy, Ishola, Jones, Ogunleye, Porter, Randle El, Roby and Isaac Sowells (Cleveland).
