BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana true freshmen offensive linemen Dan Feeney and Jason Spriggs were named honorable mention CollegeFootballNews.com Freshman All-Americans.

Feeney, a FoxSportsNext.com/Scout.com first team Freshman All-American, started all 12 games, an IU true freshman record for an offensive lineman. The ESPN.com All-Big Ten Freshman did not surrender a sack in 935 snaps and finished second on the team with 54 knockdowns.

The Orland Park, Ill., native has also earned honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition from the conference's coaches and media. Feeney was named honorable mention All-Big Ten by 247Sports.com and was an honorable mention BTN.com All-Big Ten Freshman Team member.

Spriggs, an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection, ESPN.com All-Big Ten Freshman and BTN.com All-Big Ten Freshman team honoree, also started all 12 games as a true freshman.

The Elkhart, Ind., native led the Hoosiers with 80 knockdowns and allowed just two sacks in 961 snaps en route to second team All-Big Ten honors from 247Sports.com.
