2009 (Summer): Kept busy over the summer, playing in 13 events ... crushed the competition at the Ohio Amateur Championship, beating the rest of the field by five strokes after carding a 283 (71-73-70-69) ... shot a Moraine Country Club course record, 63, in his practice round ... finished in a tie for fourth place at the Dogwood Invitational with a score of 278 (73-65-71-69) ... shot a 142 (72-70) at his U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier to grab a share of third place and an alternate selection ... fired a 142 (69-73) at the USGA Amateur Public Links sectional qualifier as well, earning first alternate rights ... carded the low amateur score (67) in The Ridge Club Pro-Am ... won a pair of Shaker Run 2-Ball competitions with scores of 68 and 60 ... shot the best round (67) in the St. Xavier High School Alumni match.
2008-09 (Junior): Recorded the second-best scoring average on the team at 72.48, and the ninth-lowest season average in school history ... shared medalist honors at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational with a three-round total of 209 (68-72-69) ... tied for second at the Isleworth UCF Collegiate after carding a 214 (72-68-74) ... finished in the top-10 over half the time, doing so in six of 11 tournaments played ... tallied a top-30 standing in every event but one ... shot a season-low round of 68 on four occasions, including his second round of the NCAA Southeast Regional where he tied for 27th place on the individual leaderboard ... began his stellar postseason play with a 10-place showing at the Big Ten Championship, shooting 291 (72-77-71-71) ... additional top-10 finishes included the UL Cardinal Collegiate (T7), adidas Hoosier Invitational (T6) and Boilermaker Invitational (T7) ... named Golfweek's National Most Improved Player at mid-season ... shot 75 or below in 26 of 33 rounds ... finished the season ranked No. 92 nationally.
2008 (Summer): Finished 12th in medal play at the North & South Amateur at Pinehurst with a 142 (71-71) and advanced to second round of match play ... tied for second in the Ohio Amateur Championship at 285 (67-72-72-74) ... won the Cincinnati Metropolitan Amateur ... tied for 10th at the Ohio Open Championship with a 212 (67-70-75) and low amateur honors ... finished 63rd in the Western Amateur Championship with rounds of 76 and 69.
2007-08 (Sophomore): Fourth on the team with a 74.76 scoring average ... played in all 14 tournaments ... recorded seven top-25 finishes and netted a top-10 showing at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, carding a 223 (82-71-70) ... tied for 12th place at the UMB Bank-Mizzou Tiger Classic with a 223 (72-76-75) ...earned a share of 16th at the Gopher Invitational and the Windon Memorial Classic ... fired a 222 (74-75-73) at the Gopher and a 217 (72-72-71) at the Windon ... sat in the top-10 through three rounds at the Big Ten Championship before finishing in a tie for 19th at 301 (73-74-70-84) ... after shooting a 222 (74-75-73) at the Inverness Intercollegiate, placed in a tie for 22nd ... shared 24th with a 222 (77-70-75) at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.
2007 (Summer): Qualified for the U.S. Amateur Championship and fired rounds of 74-73 in medal play before losing in a playoff to advance into match play ... finished third and as the low amateur at the 84th Ohio State Open Championship ... ended the event only one stroke back with a 10-under-par 200 (70-65-65) ... placed 19th in the Ohio State Amateur Championship at 295 (77-74-70-74).
2006-07 (Freshman): Closed season with a 77.34 average in 29 rounds ... tied for 18th at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate (March 18-20) with rounds of 75-73-75 ... shared 21st with 217 (72-71-74) at the Fossum/Spartan Invitational (April 21-22) ... at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate (Oct. 7-8), finished in a tie for 24th place ... claimed a share of 34th at the Big Ten Championships (April 27-29) ... opened collegiate career with a tie for 51st at the VCU/Mattaponi Springs Shootout (Sept. 25-26).
2006 (Summer): Tied for low amateur at the Ohio State Open Championship, finishing in a tie for 11th with a 209 (70-66-73)...tied for 24th at the Ohio State Amateur Championship with a total of 295 (73-72-73-77)...carded rounds of 72-69 (141) to tie for second in the stroke play portion of the Cincinnati Men's Met Championship and advanced to match play, where he lost in the quarterfinals...shot a 141 (71-70) in qualifying and was named and alternate for the U.S. Amateur Championship.
Prep/Personal: Earned four varsity letters at St. Xavier in Cincinnati, Ohio ... won district championships with golf team in both 2004 and 2005 ... team also captured Greater Catholic League Conference championships in 2002, 2004 and 2005 ... was the individual district champion in 2004 ... named All-City all four years ... earned All-State honors in 2005 ... had seven top-10 finishes in national junior tournaments ... advanced to the round of 32 at the USGA Junior Amateur in 2004 ... won the Ohio State Junior Championship with an eight-under par total of 136 ... had a second honors average during his four years at St. Xavier ... born on June 2, 1987 ...
