Kollin comes to Indiana from North Farmington Hills High School, where he won the 2011 Michigan Division I Individual State Championship ... also named to the 2011 Michigan All-State Super Team, as well as the all-city, all-county, and all-division teams ... had success on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) circuit, finishing in the top-10 in each of his four 2011 events ... He posted fourth place finishes at the AJGA Coca-Cola Championships and the AJGA Randy Wise ... at the age of 15, Kollin became the youngest men's Club Champion at his home course, Twin Beach Country Club, in West Bloomfield, Mich ... set the course record at Twin Beach CC, firing a 64 that included a double bogey on the 16th hole ... played five years of travel baseball before concentrating on golf ... in his last year, he was the starting catcher for the No. 5 ranked team in Michigan, the Bloomfield Sting ... ranked No. 14 in the class of 2012 by Golfweek and No. 50 by the Junior Golf Scoreboard ... the son of Jimmy and Sheryll Kollin ... mother is a cancer survivor and Max raises money and awareness for breast cancer charities ... he also has one sister, Sophie, who plays travel soccer and high school golf, qualifying for the 2011 Michigan State Finals.
