Day One Complete at U.S. Collegiate Championship

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The #4 Indiana University men's golf team sits in 14th place after day one at the United States Collegiate Championship. The Hoosiers shot 303 in their first of three rounds.
Senior Seth Brandon and freshman Chase Wright were the top performers for IU in the opening round, each shooting even par. Their 72's put them in a tie for 16th place on the individual scoreboard. They both carded scores of 36 on each the front and back nines.
2008 All-American Jorge Campillo was next best for the Cream and Crimson with his four-over 76. That score puts him in a tie for 56th place with 36 holes to play. Alex Martin contributed the fourth score to the team total with his 83 opening round. Meanwhile, freshman David Erdy came into the clubhouse at 84.
