    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's golf team sits at Even par (568) after two rounds at the NXY Hoosier Invitational, trailing tournament leader Michigan by one stroke going into Sunday's final round. The Hoosiers were led by senior David Mill's 2-under par day (70-70), which has him in second place individually.

    IU opened with a round of 283 followed by a team score of 285 in the afternoon. The 283 total in the first round is the team's lowest single round total this season as the Hoosiers are in position to claim their first tournament title of the season.

    Mills, a native of Evansville, posted eight birdies - second-most in the field - and six bogeys over his two rounds on his way to 2-under par. He played the par 4 holes at 2-under par on the day to lead the field in that category.

    Sophomore Max Kollin opened with a 4-over par round of 75, where he struggled to get in a groove on the back nine. But he registered a steady round of 1-under par 70 in round two, with a pair of birdies and just one bogey in the round.

    Freshman Will Seger was consistent in his first round of the day, posting two birdies and one bogey on his way to 1-under par 70. Round two saw him make three birdies but also four bogeys for a 1-over par 72.

    Junior Nicholas Grubnich opened the tournament with is best round of the season, a 2-under par 69 with three birdies and just one bogey. When the wind picked up in round two, he found more trouble on the back nine and finished with a 2-over par 73.

    Junior Andrew Fogg was not able to get on a roll during either round but battled through to log rounds of 3-over par 74 and 2-over par 73.

    Competing as an individual, senior Hugo Menendez led the field with nine birdies on the day and was tie for the first round lead at 3-under par 68, which matched his career-low round. In round two, he had four birdies and seven bogeys en route to 3-over par 74. He is tied for fourth place at Even par after the first day.

    Freshmen Andrew Havill and Keegan Vea, both competing as individuals, are tied for 35th and 47th, respectively.
