Hoosiers Post Third Place Finish at Kepler Intercollegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team (No. 36 Golfstat, No. 40 Golfweek/Sagarin) finished third at the Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State, after posting a final round 20-over 304 to conclude with a three-round total of 51-over 903 (292-307-304).
Kent State took home the team title with a 46-over 898, followed by SMU at 47-over 899. SMU's Max Buckley earned individual medalist honors with a 7-over 220 total.
Erdy had the fifth lowest final round score of the day, posting a 1-over 72 at the difficult Scarlet Course. The Boonville, Ind. native finished with a total of 12-over 225 (72-81-72) and notched his second straight tie for seventh after doing the same at last week's NYX Hoosier Invitational.
Mills was 6-over on Sunday, finishing along with Erdy at 225 (72-76-77). Mills has been consistent for the Hoosiers, racking up top-10 showings in four out of seven stroke play events in his sophomore campaign.
Senior Chase Wright tied for 19th at 15-over 228 (74-77-77). Wright has not finished outside of the top-25 in a stroke play event during the 2011-12 season.
Junior Brant Peaper registered a final round 7-over 78 to tie for 27th and post a 17-over 230 (77-75-78). Fellow junior Corey Ziedonis rounded out the Hoosier lineup with a tie for 35th, posting his second straight 8-over 79 to conclude play. Ziedonis had a 19-over 232 total (74-79-79).
The Hoosiers are back in action at next weekend's Boilermaker Invitational at Kampen GC in West Lafayette, Ind.
