Campillo, Hoosiers Finish Fifth at Boilermaker Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The #6 Indiana University men's golf team shot the best round of the day at the Boilermaker Invitational on Sunday. The Hoosiers posted a seven-under 281, lifting themselves from 11th up to fifth in the final team standings.
Jorge Campillo was Indiana's top performer on the weekend, claiming his sixth top-five finish of the season. The 2008 All-American concluded the event with a three-under 69, bringing his three-round total to 212 (72-71-69) which was good for fifth place on the individual leaderboard.
Alex Martin matched Campillo in the final round, also scribbling a 69 onto his scorecard. That performance helped Martin grab a share of seventh place, marking his fifth top-10 finish of the season. David Erdy was not far behind on Sunday, carding a 70 to complete his weekend. Overall, he shot 226 and came in tied for 55th place.
Seth Brandon also played well on Sunday, posting his best round of the competition with a 73.
Chase Wright's performance can be described best by one word: consistent. The Muncie, Ind., native took 75 strokes in each of his three rounds for a 225 total and a tie for 48th place.
