Hoosiers Move Up Three Spots After Round Two of NCAA Regional

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Indiana men's golf team moved into a tie for 10th place after two rounds of the 2013 NCAA Fayetteville Regional at the Blessings Golf Club, hosted by the University of Arkansas. As a team, IU posted a second round score of 18-over par 306 and are tied with Kentucky in tenth place with a total score for the tournament of 613 (+37).
"We had our opportunities today and we didn't take advantage," Indiana head coach Mike Mayer said. "We will look to finish the tournament on a high note in tomorrow's final round."
Corey Ziedonis was 3-over par after his first nine holes - the back nine since the team started on hole No. 10. But on his second nine holes, he registered eight pars and one birdie to finish at 2-over par 74 and a two round total of 148 (+4) to tie for 24th individually.
David Mills went out in 32 on his first nine but struggled one the way in and finished with a round of 4-over par 76. His two round total score is 151 (+7) to tie for 34th individually.
Brant Peaper carded a 79 in his second round to check in at a tie for 40th at 153 (+9). Michael McGee's second round score of 77 counted towards the team score, giving him a overall score of 161 (+17). Andrew Fogg posted a second round score of 80 to make his two round total score of 167 (+23).
The Hoosiers will tee off at 8:20 a.m. CT on Saturday for the final round. The top five teams and top two individuals (not associated with an advancing team) in the standings after Saturday's round qualify for the NCAA Finals.
