Indiana Finishes Northern Intercollegiate In Eighth Place

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. - A solid final round at the Northern Intercollegiate at Rich Harvest Farms left the Hoosiers right where they started the round, in eighth place, at the end of the tournament. Indiana posted a final round team score of 296, giving them a three round total score of 899 (301-297-288, +31).
Senior David Mills carded an Even par round of 72 on Sunday and finished the tournament in a tie for fourth place with a overall score of 214 (74-68-72, +2).
"David Mills showed maturity that I had not seen in him during his career to this point," Indiana head coach Mike Mayer said about the Evansville native. "He has a lot of talent and if we continue to see that maturity we can have an outstanding year."
Sophomore Max Kollin continued his strong play after a tough first round, as he came in with a round of Even par 72 as well to post a T24 finish with a three round score of 223 (78-73-72, +7). Nicholas Grubnich had a round of 78 on Sunday and finished the tournament T51st individually with a total score of 229 (76-75-78, +13).
Freshman Will Seger registered his best round of the tournament on Sunday with a 2-over par score of 74, to make his three round total score 237 (78-85-74, +21) and a tie for 71st. Rounding out the scores for the weekend was Hugo Menendez, who posted a 78 on Sunday for a three round total of 240 (81-81-78, +24), which put him in a tie for 74th.
Playing as an individual was Andrew Havill, who also posted his best round of the tournament with a 73 in his final round to give him a total score for the tournament of 231 (79-79-73, +15) and a T55 finish.
The Hoosiers continue their fall schedule next weekend at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club in Chicago, against one of the strongest fields of the season.
