Hoosiers Stand In Third Place After Two Rounds at Wolf Run Intercollegiate

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana Men's Golf team fired two rounds of even-par (284-284) to sit in third place at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate at the Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind. Indiana held a one-stroke lead after the first round but Ohio State and Illinois posted better rounds to move into first and second, respectively, and bump IU to third place going into the final round.
Team Scores (Thru 2 Rounds)
In round one, Brant Peaper matched the tournament course record with a six-under par 65 to lead all golfers. He joined former Hoosier David Erdy (2009) and Georgia Southern's Chris Smith (2006) as the only ones to shoot 65 in tournament play. He came back to shoot a one-under par 70 in round two to sit in a tie for first place with Boo Timko (Ohio State) at 7-under par (135).
Corey Ziedonis went around in rounds of 73 and 70 to tie for 11th place individually. Michael McGee (73-72) and Hugo Menendez (73-72) are tied for 17th individually with identical two-round totals of 2-over par (145). David Mills posted rounds of 75 and 72, which was good for a tie for 28th overall at five-over par (147).
The Hoosiers also have three players playing as individuals only in the tournament and they are led by Andrew Fogg, who shot 80 in the first round but turned that around nicely with a four-under par 67 in round two for a overall score of five-over par (147). Sean Stone registered rounds of 79 and 70 to put himself in 40th place alongside teammate Nicholas Grubnich (73-76).
