Hoosiers Finish 13th at 2010 Olympia Fields Invitational

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Indiana University men's golf team finished in 13th place at the 2010 Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational, carding a three-round total of 878. Freshman David Mills was Indiana's top performer, posting a 219 (75-73-71) and earning a share of 36th place on the individual scoreboard.
A trio of Hoosiers shot identical 76s on the final day of the tournament. Chase Wright capped off his tournament with one of those 76s, adding it to his 145 total through the first two days for a 221 final tally. Brant Peaper and David Erdy matched his 76 in the third go-around. Peaper's tournament ended in a tie for 51st place (71-76-76=223) while Erdy was right behind at 224 (71-77-76).
Sophomore Corey Ziedonis began the competition with back-to-back solid rounds of 70 and 73, positioning himself for a top-25 showing. Unfortunately, the last round went south and Ziedonis ended with a 226 total.
The Hoosiers head right back to Chicago next week for their next competition, the Windon Memorial Classic (Sept. 26-27, at the North Shore Country Club).
