Heavy Rainfall Wipes Out Final Round of Alister MacKenzie Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Heavy and ongoing rainfall has made the course unplayable for the final round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, forcing tournament officials to cancel the round. With two rounds completed on Monday, the is an official NCAA event and Monday's scores become the final results.
Indiana finished with a share of 12th place. Thirty-six holes of the 54-hole tournament were played on Monday, and Indiana carded team scores of 285 and 289.
Sophomore David Erdy claimed his third top-25 finish of the season. With rounds of 68 and 72, the Boonville, Ind., native shot two-under and tied for 19th place on the individual leaderboard. Erdy tallied eight birdies compared to just six bogies on the day.
Senior Alex Martin paced the Hoosiers with nine birdies in the opening 36 holes. Martin finished one-under and tied for 26th place.
Freshman Corey Ziedonis contributed two scores to the team total on Monday, shooting a two-round score of 147 (73-74). He tied for 51st place.
Sophomore Chase Wright and junior Ren Han rounded out the Hoosier line-up, each providing one score to the team total. Wright shot 73 in the opening round while Han did the same in the team's second trip around the course.

The Hoosiers will now take a two-week break from competition before heading south to Naples, Fla., from Oct. 31-Nov. 1 for The Renaissance Invitational.
