First Round of Yestingsmeier Individual Invite In the Books

MUNCIE, Ind. - Four members of the Indiana men's golf team are competing at the Earl Yestingsmeier Individual Invitational that takes place Monday and Tuesday at the Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Ind. There is no team scoring at the event that features 48 individual golfers from across the Midwest.
The golfers were only able to complete round one on Monday and round two was suspended due to darkness. They will resume round two at 9:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday and then play the final round immediately after.
Leading the way for Indiana in the first round was freshman Max Kollin, who shot an even-par 70 (33-37) to put himself in a tie for fourth place in his first collegiate appearance. Senior Kyle Perry is tied for ninth after firing a two-over par 72 (37-35) and senior John Beringer is just behind him at three-over par 73 (35-38), tied for 14th. Rounding out the IU contingent is Nicholas Grubnich, who carded a seven-over par 77 (38-39).
Nick Huggins (Northern Illinois) leads the tournament after posting a three-under par 67 in his first round.
