Hoosiers Remain T9 After Second Round in Hawaii

PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii - The Indiana men's golf team (No. 41 Golfstat/No. 39 Golfweek) posted team score of 294 (+6) in round two of the Warrior-Wave Intercollegiate to remain in a tie for ninth place with a two round total of 589 (+13). The tournament is being played at the Makai Golf Club at Princeville.
David Mills logged the best round of the day for Indiana with a 1-under par 71, a round that included six birdies. Brant Peaper and Hugo Menendez both carded rounds of 2-over par 74 while Michael McGee's 3-over par 75 was the fourth score that counted. Peaper registered five birdies on his round while Menendez was steady with two birdies and four bogeys. Corey Ziedonis posted a second round score of 5-over par 77 to round out the IU scores.
Baylor moved up from fifth place to first place with a round of 8-under par 280, taking a three stroke lead over UC Irvine into the final round. The individual lead is held by Albin Choi (NC State) at 7-under par, two shots ahead of a trio of players in second place at 5-under par.
The third round will get underway at 8:00 a.m. HST (1:00 p.m. EST) at the Makai Golf Club. Live scoring is being provided by GolfStat.com.
