BAY St. Louis, Miss. - The Indiana men's golf team tried to shake-off any cobwebs that remained from their three-month hiatus today as they took on a field of 17 other teams in the Bridges All-American Tournament. Unfortunately, ominous weather and poor play left the squad in an uphill climb for the final round on Tuesday.

The field successfully completed the first round of play, but heavy rain and lightening led to the cancellation of the second round just eight holes in. The final round of the tournament will be completed on Tuesday, with a shotgun start beginning at 7:30 a.m.

After only one round, the Hoosiers find themselves in a tie for ninth, 14 strokes behind the current leader, Georgia State. Georgia State was paced by Jaime Acevedo's new competitive course record of 64.

The Hoosiers are led by Josh Brewer, whose round of 73 puts him in a tie for 21st. Juniors Chick Linski and John Barry both shot 74s, placing them in a tie for 34th. Perennial tournament contender Randy Leen rounds out the Hoosiers' foursome with a first round score of 75, leaving him in a tie for 45th, 11 strokes off Acevedo's leading pace.
