    ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The Hoosiers head west for the Snowman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz., hosted by Loyola Maryland. The tournament features 17 teams competing over two days, with 36 holes being played on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. Arizona State will have three players competing as individuals but will not be a part of the team scoring.

In the first medal play tournament of the spring, the Hoosiers will be going up against a number of other schools from the east coast and Midwest looking to get their spring schedule underway.

    THE FIELD THIS WEEK
The field this week includes Air Force, Connecticut, Gonzaga, Illinois State, Indiana, Loyola Maryland, Missouri State, Murray State, Navy, South Dakota, St. John's (NY), SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee Tech, UMKC, Utah, Utah Valley, William & Mary and Arizona State (Individuals only)

    LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Hoosiers took to the course was last weekend at the Big Ten Match Play Championship in Bradenton, Fla. Indiana came away with a sixth place finish after entering the event as the sixth seed.

Indiana opened the tournament by defeating Wisconsin before losing to third seed Northwestern. Then IU topped Ohio State before tying Minnesota in the fifth place match. The Golden Gophers were awarded fifth place by virtue of winning more holes on the day.

    INDIANA IN THE RANKINGS
The Hoosiers have played a very strong fall portion of the schedule with a young team and their solid play has them ranked No. 65 in the Golfstat rankings and No. 59 in the Golfweek rankings this week.

AT THE BIG TEN MATCH PLAY
Sophomore Max Kollin and freshman Will Seger both posted 3-1 records in their first appearance at the Big Ten Match Play Championship. Kollin had three of his matches come down to the final hole and he went 2-1 in those matches.

David Mills: 1-2-1 Max Kollin: 3-1 Keegan Vea: 1-2 Nicholas Grubnich: 2-2 Will Seger: 3-1 Andrew Havill: 0-1

BIG TEN GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Senior David Mills picked up his first career Big Ten weekly honor earlier in the fall, when the conference selected him as the Big Ten Golfer of the Week. The Evansville native earned the award after a T4 finish at the Northern Intercollegiate (Sept. 6-8). He posted rounds of 74, 68 and 72 on his way to his seventh career top 5 finish in a tournament.

    TEAM BALANCE
Through the first five medal play tournaments of the year, six different IU players have recorded at least one Top 25 finish. Senior David Mills has four Top 25 finishes, including a T4 finish at the Northern Intercollegiate, T12 at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational, T25 at Crooked Stick and T10 at Pinetree.

Sophomore Max Kollin finished T24 at the Northern Intercollegiate and T20 at Pinetree while Andrew Fogg and Keegan Vea checked in at T24 at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate. Vea also posted a T20 finish at Pinetree along with Nicholas Grubnich. Hugo Menendez checked in with a T23 finish at Crooked Stick.

    GOING LOW
David Mills' second round score of 68 at the Northern Intercollegiate was tied for the best round of the day on Saturday and put him in a position to compete for the individual title on the final day. It was also his lowest round since shooting a 66 in April of 2012.
