What's In My Bag? - Tad Sacheck
Feb. 28, 2008
IUHoosiers.com asked each member of the Indiana men's golf team what clubs he carries during a round on the links. In the upcoming weeks, each IU golfer will give us a look inside his bag. Tad Sacheck, a 6-2 fifth-year senior from Zionsville, Ind., is up first.
Driver: TaylorMade Burner TP Version 2 8.5° with a Rombax 85x shaft
3-wood: TaylorMade Burner TP R7 14.5° with a Fuijikura 95x shaft
Irons: Titleist 670s with x100 shafts
Wedges: TaylorMade Burner TP Y-Cutter Wedges 52° and 56°
Putter: Original Scotty Cameron Sole Stamped TeI3 refinished by Scotty Cameron with a lime & pink custom finish
Ball: I just recently switched to the TaylorMade TP Red LDP because it flies a little farther than the Pro V1x, and I can control my spin much easier with it.
Ball Marking: Typically I use my lime green sharpie and make a dot right above the number of the ball and then color in the vertical name so I can use that for lining up putts.
Favorite Club: My favorite club is by far my 2-iron. I love the feeling you get when you tee it up and hit it "on the screws" off of the tee.
Superstitions: I do not consider myself a very superstitious golfer, but I do go through the same pre-shot routine for every shot. I also find that when I get a good song in my head while I am playing, I tend to play a lot better.
