    ROUGH FIRST DAY PUTS HOOSIERS IN MIDDLE OF THE PACK

    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Indiana men's golf team dug itself a deep hole today following the first and second rounds of the Seminole Classic. The Hoosiers currently sit in seventh place, 31 strokes behind the current leader, North Carolina. North Carolina has jumped out to a strong 10-stroke lead following rounds of 292 and 291, a 583 total.

    Fresh off his career-best performance, a tie for 10th in last week's Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate, Brent Landry continues to be the Hoosiers' best golfer. After carding a 78 and 74 today, he sits in a four-way tie for 20th.

    Steve Wheatcroft, in his first tournament since a 102nd place finish at the Persimmon Ridge, October 20-21, is looking for his best collegiate performance. Rounds of 78 and 75 today have put Wheatcroft in a tie for 24th.

    Rounding out the Hoosiers' top 30 finishers is Randy Leen. With rounds of 77 and 77 today, Leen is currently in a tie for 28th.

    The final round of the Seminole Classic will be played tomorrow beginning at 7:30 a.m.
